How to Listen to Voicemail Messages

You have several ways to retrieve your voicemail messages.

  1. When you receive a new voicemail, you will automatically receive an e-mail containing the voicemail. These e-mails will come through as Cisco Unity Connection. Double click on the attachment to launch and the message will begin to play through your computers speakers.
  2. Press the messages button (or dial 2066) on any campus VOIP phone. Enter your voicemail password when prompted, followed by the # symbol. Press 1 to listen to new messages.
  3. From off campus, call (540) 375-2066. When the system picks up, press the * key and dial in your voicemail box number followed by the # symbol, then press 1 to listen to messages.

Note: If you share an extension/line with someone, you will have a different ID number to use for voicemail than your normal extension. You should have received this information when your voicemail box was set up. If you do not know this, please contact Caleb Johnson, the Telecommunications Manager in Information Technology at 540-375-2581.
