Changing Your Email Password for Students

If you would like to change your Roanoke College email password and you know what the current password is, you can change it within the email site.

Please keep in mind that your Roanoke College email and your Roanoke College account password (i.e., MyRoanoke portal) are two separate passwords. If you change one, the other will not be updated. If you need to change your Roanoke College account password, follow the instructions in this Quick Solutions article.

Changing your Roanoke College email password:

1. Go to and login with your current roanoke email password.

2. In the top right hand corner of the email screen, there is a small gear icon next to your name. Click on this gear icon. Then search password.

3. The change password option will appear.

4. Fill out the form it opens asking for your old and new password. You’ll be all set after that.

If you do not remember your old password and need a new one, please call the Helpdesk at 540-375-2225.

The Helpdesk is open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. Helpdesk will not reset passwords over email or support tickets for security reasons.
