Changing Your MyRoanoke Password

If you need to change your MyRoanoke password and it hasn’t expired you can do so in the MyRoanoke portal. Log in to your MyRoanoke and follow these instructions:

Students, please keep in mind that your Roanoke email and your MyRoanoke password are two separate passwords. If you change one it will not update the other. Updating your MyRoanoke password will update your Inquire password. If you need to update your email password check out this knowledge base article.

1. Go to the top of your screen and click on your name

2. A menu will drop down and select change your password:

3. Fill out the page that comes up and your password will reset. Remember that your password can’t be one you’ve used recently, needs on uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one special character or number, and cannot be your first or last name. If it does not fit that criteria it will not accept the new password.

If your password has expired you can do one of three things:

Reset your password here: myaccount.roanoke.edu and click on “Forgot Your Password”

OR

Call the Helpdesk at 540-375-2225. The Helpdesk can reset your password for you over the phone. They will not reset passwords over email or support tickets for security reasons. Helpdesk is open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. If you are abroad, the Helpdesk can set up a skype appointment to reset your password.

OR

Go to a lab computer on campus and login with your old password; it should prompt you to create a new password.
