Windows Devices
- Turn on your device and log in.
- Click the Network/Wi-Fi icon in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar.
- Make sure Wi-Fi is turned On.
- Select the name of the wireless network from the list.
- If you are Faculty or Staff, select the RCFacStaff option
- If you are a Student, Select the RCStudent option
- Click Connect.
- You will then be prompted to enter your Roanoke username and password.
- Click OK.
- You should receive this message:
Continue connecting?
If you expect to find (RCStudent or RCFacStaff) in this location, go ahead and connect. Otherwise, it may be a different network with the same name.

- It should give you a connected, Secured message if it was successful.
How to Verify You Are Connected
- Open a web browser.
- Visit a website such as a search engine or school homepage.
- If the page loads successfully, your device is connected.
When to Contact IT Support
Contact your school’s IT Help Desk if:
- You cannot see the wireless network name
- Your password is not accepted
- You can connect but cannot access the internet
- Your device repeatedly disconnects from Wi-Fi
